Dead City (by Joe McKinney)

Last night I finished Dead City by Joe McKinney and Wow. This book was great ,so good . It really has been awhile (besides The First Days By Rhiannon Frater) since I read something that grabbed me the way this title did. I'm giving this 10 star's simply because I love it so much. I immediately went on Barnesandnoble to receive the other two in the series. Which are Apocalypse of the dead and Flesh Eaters. Cant wait to crack them open!
Just imagine being a cop on a typical night .Sitting in your patrol car and on the radio the dispatcher has a call for you. immediately of course Eddie the main character is listening in. Him and his partner at the time respond to the call. In the same instance texas is being hit with all these hurricanes at once. So the dispatcher tells them disorderly drunks in a quiet  neighborhood .. Only to arrive at the scene late at night and realizing these people are a bit odd. The issue at hand is there not drunk. There dead people wandering around a quit neighborhood . I can imagine that zombies might look intoxicated in the dark, but I wouldn't wanna get up close to find out!  Joe McKinney writing makes you feel like your there , its scary and funny at times . My favorite character would be his buddy Marcus. He was comical,he gave the book more life to it.
                                                                                                  Book description:

Unlike some endings this ending was different and I liked it too. All in all ,was I satisfied with Dead City? Hell yea , the writing was well written and easy to read. When I tell you that it was easy to read. I say that because you don't find yourself in a paragraph . Glueing your eyeballs open cause your so bored with what next parts. Thats one main  reason I wont finish a book. If you have to go in to great detail like to the point where I am pulling my friggen hair out. We don't care as readers when you as Authors  have to be too much in detail . That bores the crap out of me and annoys me too. One time I read a book that took a page in a half in some detail about a person's background that had jack didley to do with anything. Hate that ,this is a good way to never ever be reviewed by me.
I most deffinitly found a new love.
